Savignac delivers quality solutions to window and door markets in Africa
SAVIGNAC was born in 1969 and initially the company was an exporter of general commodities (foodstuffs and building materials). Two decades ago, we were prompted by the building boom in South Africa and the growing interest in aluminium to diversify our focus. We designed a range of hardware for aluminium windows and doors, and introduced it to fabricators across Sub-Saharan Africa including door locks, door handles, cylinders, hinges, friction stays, vistafold hardware, patio door wheels, corner cleats, floor springs, door closers, window handles, woolpile, rubber gaskets, flyscreen mesh, etc. The rest is history!
SAVIGNAC has expanded its national footprint through its regional network. Proudly South African and Better Each Day, our branches are located in Joburg, Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Nelspruit. We are the proud creators and owners of the registered brands SAVI EURO, SAVI AFRIQ and SAVI in South Africa and distributed in Sub-Saharan Africa.
SAVIGNAC is a member of the Association of Architectural Aluminium Manufacturers of South Africa (AAAMSA) and the Southern African Stainless Steel Development Association (SASSDA)
SAVIGNAC is run by Managing Director Mike Tessendorf and is jointly owned by Howard J. Buttery, TSS Mauritius and Savignac’s Executive Chairman Stephanie Harel. We are passionate about people, we embrace diversity and our team includes staff fluent in English, Afrikaans, French, Zulu, Sotho and Xhosa.
